Hudson Springs Park | Gouache on Paper | 6×9

Here’s my first attempt at casein paint, home-made at that. I was worried that the paint would smell terrible since it’s made of milk, but it didn’t. It dries amazingly fast, faster than acrylic I think, but can be reactivated for a longer period of time before it sets. I’m going to keep experimenting with it. This painting involved white, burnt umber, ultramarine and pyrrole red.
